Madison Alexander
Class of 1951
A.M. Alexander Jr. of Conyers, GA passed away
peacefully on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016
surrounded by his family. He attended Berry High
School in Rome, Georgia. He was a born again believer
in Christ, and loved serving the Lord. He retired from
Fulton County Sheriff’s Department in 1994, after
serving 21 years. A.M. Alexander Jr. was a beloved
husband, a wonderful father and a selfless, loving
grandfather and great grandfather.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rena Kate and
A.M. Alexander Sr. and sisters, Mary Jo Hallford and
Ruth LaFran Alexander. He is survived by his dear wife
of 60 years, Betty Alexander. His children, daughter,
Janet and Kevin O’Melia of Newborn, GA, son, Tony
and Gudrun Alexander of Tulsa, OK, daughter, Beth
and Tommy Ehrensperger of College Park, GA,
daughter, Nancy Brock of Conyers, GA, son, Pete and
Malinda Alexander of Covington, GA. Grandchildren,
John and Brooke Holder, Christopher and Brittany
Brock, Stephen and Liz Brock, P.J. and Amanda
Alexander, Anna and Shigenori Aoyagi, Brianna and
Garrett Vick, and Matt Ehrensperger. Great
Grandchildren, Ivy Sinyard, Hannah Holder, Makenzie
Holder, Jake Blankenship, Waylon Brock, Emeline
Brock, Wyatt Vick, Noah Alexander, and Abigail
Aoyagi.  He is also survived by two of his sisters, Linda
Gunn of McDonough, Georgia and Betty Yearwood of
Illinois along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins
and extended family members.

Visitation will be at JC Harwell & Son Funeral Home in
Covington, GA on Friday, January 15th, 2016 from 6pm
to 8pm. The funeral will be held in the chapel of the
funeral home on Saturday, January 16th, 2016 at 2pm
with Rev. Chris Briscomb. Interment will be at Eastview
Cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia immediately following the
funeral service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests
that donations be made in AM Alexander Jr’s Honor to
Eastview Cemetery in Atlanta, GA.  J.C. Harwell and
Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington,
GA 30014 is in charge of the arrangements.
