To the friends and family of David Geraldson,

It is with deep sadness that I (his daughter, Virginia Dunn) share this
devastating news with you. On October 27, 2020 my dad had a stroke
which led to a brain bleed that caused permanent and severe brain
damage. He was placed on life support as he battled multiple fevers
and infections. The hospital allowed one visitor at a time so his family
and friends were able to visit him each day, praying for a miracle.
Based on the doctor’s prognosis and his worsening condition, after 12
excruciatingly difficult days, we allowed him to be disconnected from
life support. On November 8, 2020, he went to be with Jesus.

The pain we are experiencing is overwhelming and we are still in
shock. We know he meant a lot to all of you and we appreciate your
prayers as we grieve such an incredible loss together. We take comfort
knowing that he is now at peace and are grateful that we have one
another to lean on. While we are heartbroken that our time with him
was cut short, we will forever cherish all the wonderful memories we
have with him. He was a phenomenal father, grandfather, and friend.

A funeral will be held on November 30, 2020 at Miramar National
Cemetery with full military honors. Unfortunately, due to COVID
restrictions, only immediate family is able to attend.

All who wish to celebrate and honor his life with us are invited to a
memorial service that same day (November 30th) at Riverview Church
(4980 Sweetgrass Ln. Bonsall, CA 92003) at 2:00pm. The service will
be held outside with social distancing measures in place, so please
plan accordingly.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to David’s favorite charity,
