Class of 1971
On Sunday, February 28, 2016, Daniel William Geraldson, 62, of
Rome, Georgia, formerly of Saratoga, Arkansas passed away in a
local hospital after an extended illness.
Daniel was born on April 27, 1953, son of the late Torris Alstead
Geraldson and the late Bernice Sellner Geraldson. He spent many
fun filled childhood years living on the Berry Campus where his
father taught Bible at the Academy. He attended Glenwood
Elementary and Berry Academy where he graduated in 1971. While
at Berry he played baseball and was a student worker at the dairy.
He was especially known for his diligent work attending to the calves.
After graduation, he worked in construction in Florida, Texas and
Arkansas. Daniel retired from Southern Pavers, a construction
company in Arkansas, after many years of service as a
superintendent overseeing the construction of numerous highway
bridges. After retirement, he moved back to Georgia and lived with
his brother and sister-in-law, Stanley and Lucy Geraldson who were
faithful care-givers in his final years.
Through the years, he loved his dogs and the outdoors. He was a
frequent traveler to California where he spent several months a year
with his other brother, David and his wife, Tessie. He loved the
Pacific Ocean and the National Parks. Daniel was a

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2016, at 4pm
in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, North Chapel.
The Rev. Ronald Lynch will officiate.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home,
North Chapel, on Thursday from 3pm until the service time. At other
hours, they will be at their respective residences.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s
International or Samaritan’s Purse.
